The Papa Nui Coral Cruiser Sunglasses are the Papa’s take on early USN issue sunglasses, updated with contemporary quality and enhanced materials. A premium aviator style, the Coral Cruisers are made in Sabae Prefecture, Japan. They come with tough CR-39 Lenses that were developed in the 1940s, beginning as a high density shatterproof plastic that is lighter than glass and scratch resistant. Its original use was in B-17 fuel tanks helping to reduce weight and greatly enhance bomber range. Built to the War Departments specifications from premium acetate and hinged with optimal stainless steel fixtures, Papa Nui Coral Cruiser Sunglasses come in a recycled Army canvas service case and Frog Camo sock to help protect and care for this essential part of your fighting kit.

Papa Nui Cap Co. is the creation of John Tesoriero and draws on decades of experience in the heritage clothing industry, along with an enviable collection of vintage clothing and militaria.
The brand creates caps with vintage military, utility and surf influences, inspired by the resourcefulness of GIs and their ability to reimagine and repurpose their kit to suit their environment. Much more than simply a reproduction brand, each Papa Nui cap has a story behind it.
The finest military-spec materials are sourced from Japan and each cap is battle-tested under the rays of the South Pacific sun. Manufacturing is left to the capable hands of John Lofgren & Co., who ensure the finished products are made to the highest standards of quality and ethics, resulting in a cap that will last a lifetime and only look better with age.
Papa Nui Cap Co. was our first brand at Those That Know and we stock every release, including many pieces that are not available anywhere else. As John himself says, “anything else is just a cap”.
Care
The Coral Cruiser Sunglasses are made of tough CR-39 and premium acetate so are ready for whatever you have to throw at them. For safety, there is a recycled army service case and a frog skin camo sock for storage.
Delivery & Returns
We want shopping with Those That Know to be easy. To make sure you’re completely satisfied with your experience with us we have a simple Shipping & Returns process.
Shipping
We use Royal Mail Tracked 48 and International Tracked to send our orders in most cases. The shipping cost is calculated based on your location and the weight of your order. You can find out more about shipping costs on our shipping page. The average shipping times are:
- UK – Delivery in 48 hours
- Europe – Delivery in 3-5 working days
- Rest of World – Delivery in 6-7 working days
We aim to ship all orders within 24 hours of receipt or on the next working day. Once your order has shipped, you will receive a tracking reference to your email address.
Returns
We’re happy to accept returns or exchanges of orders in new and unworn condition with original packaging within 14 days of receipt. To return your order, please contact us first at [email protected].
Unless we have made a mistake with your order, we cannot accept returns of socks, magazines or books.
