The Papa Nui Cobra Boonie is a new collaborative piece from Papa Nui and East Asia Supply Co. Starting with one of the Papa’s work hats in a rugged olive drab HBT, two large in-country patches are added to make this piece a truly special one. Each patch is meticulously created by Nguyen and Mamasan in Saigon exclusive to Papa Nui. These are made using hand operated machines and sewn on to these hats in Hong Kong by Jim Lau and his team.
An homage to the customised boonies worn during the South East Asian Conflict in Vietnam Cambodia and Laos, the Papa Nui cap takes its cues from a recently unearthed original. All hats are prewashed here on the Atoll to shrink the cotton used in the patches, enhancing the authenticity and to start the patina with wear process.

Papa Nui size guide

Watch caps and other special models come in one size. Because of the materials used, these will work for you if either Medium and Large size Papa Nui caps fit you comfortably.

For more information on shipping, we have a dedicated shipping page. We use Royal Mail for most orders but occasionally UPS, FedEx and DHL for higher value international orders. Shipping starts at £6 in the UK and £15 international and increases based on location and, for larger orders, weight.
Please be aware that we’re a two person operation so there may be a day or two between ordering and shipping. If you need something urgently, please contact us and we’ll probably be able to sort it.
We offer an easy returns process which is explained in detail on our returns page. All we ask is that returned items arrive back with us in as-new condition including labels and packaging. Unless we’ve made a mistake, we can’t refund or exchange socks, magazines or books.
