EU and US duties and taxes

Orders sent to the European Union or United States include applicable duties and taxes. The amount shown at checkout is the amount you pay to Those That Know; you should not receive an additional duty or tax bill when the parcel arrives.

European Union orders

We collect and account for the relevant taxes and customs charges so customers in EU member states can order without an unexpected payment on delivery. Our cross-border tax arrangements are supported by EAS Project.

United States orders

We send US orders using a duty-paid service. Applicable import duty and tax are included in the checkout amount and handled as part of the shipment.

What happens at delivery?

The carrier may still contact you for information needed to clear the parcel, but should not request an additional duty or tax payment. If you receive an unexpected charge, do not pay it immediately: contact us with your order number and a copy of the request so we can investigate.

Other destinations

For destinations outside the UK, EU and United States, local customs duties, taxes or carrier handling fees may apply. These are determined by the destination country and are the customer’s responsibility.
