Loop & Weft Lambswool Classic Birdseye Sweater – Nautical Navy

The Loop & Weft Classic Birdseye Sweater is made of extra-fine lambswool and pays homage to classic crewneck sweaters of the 1980s. The wool is sourced from Geelong, a region in Australia renowned as a world-class producer of high-quality lambswool. The sweater comes in a balanced regular that gives a silhouette which layers extremely well. Loop & Weft’s artisans use a high-end seaming technique called looping, a dying art in Japan, to assemble each garment individually while enhancing its overall quality and texture.

  • Inspired by 1980s Birdseye sweaters
  • Made from extra-fine lambswool
  • Ribbed neck and cuffs

Brand

Loop & Weft is known for producing the finest knitted and cut-and-sewn cotton goods in Japan. It was founded in 2011 by Ryota Seguchi with a goal to produce honestly crafted pieces made from the very best materials.

The brand is based in Yamanashi Prefecture, a location in the shadow of Mount Fuji that is known for its natural beauty and for being an inspiring setting for creative people, not to mention having a historically significant garment manufacturing industry. The pursuit of perfection and attention to detail that the brand put into its products is second to none.

Bespoke, proprietary fabrics are developed each season, before carefully chosen shokunin (artisans) from small, local factories and workshops are enlisted to manufacture the final pieces. Loop & Weft aim to contribute to the strong traditions and history of their local area by creating life-long lasting pieces that age beautifully and that will fast become the prized possessions of their owners.

We are proud to have been the first European stockist of this amazing brand.

Care
