The Alberton Japan Mini Pouch is constructed from the brand’s painstaking replication of early 20th century US Army Duck Cotton, manufactured by the original Alberton company in Baltimore. Working from original vintage samples, the cloth has been recreated exactly as it was made over 100 years ago.
Now made entirely in Japan, US Army Duck is extremely durable and long-lasting, meaning the mini-pouch is suitable for use at home or at work. It comes with heavy duty zip, handle and woven external branding label.

Alberton Japan revives a lost American textile legend. Once a major spinning company in Baltimore, Alberton built its name on durable duck cotton, a tightly woven, water-repellent fabric first used by the US Army in World War I. More than a century later, the brand has been faithfully reborn in Japan and its iconic fabric is recreated using the same traditional methods for a modern audience.
