Description

RoToTo Coarse Ribbed Old School Socks sit right at the heart of RoToTo’s collection and are everything that is great about the brand. This style is reminiscent of mid-century classic sports socks, elevated into something all together premium. The perfect pair of versatile socks that you’ll reach for every day.

These retro tube socks are made by a special low gauged knitting machine. This slow pace of knitting ensures plenty of air gets into the knit, giving a soft handle and airy feel. A combination of two types of yarn are used in the construction of the sock. For the body of the sock, luxurious thick pile cotton is used and, for extra strength and durability, a long pile cotton is used for the sold.

As usual, RoToTo look to combine vintage manufacturing materials and processes with modern ones, so small amount of acrylic and polyester are added for strength, durability and comfort.

Loved by Brad Pitt and seen in multiple Hollywood movies, RoToTo’s Coarse Ribbed Old School Socks are one of the most popular pieces we offer at Those That Know. Your feet will thank you.

Brand

RoToTo socks are manufactured in Hiroyu, Japan, with each pair designed around a “lifelong consumables” ethos. Made with the combination of old and new manufacturing processes that bring together vintage American knitting machines imported to Japan in the early 1900s and modern materials and technology, RoToTo’s socks are the finest you’ll ever slip your feet into.

The brand avoids mass production and supports skilled, local craftspeople with a deep knowledge of their craft stemming from decades of work in the garment industry.

We’ve been wearing RoToTo socks for years and their comfort and durability are second to none. We’ve tested them during long hikes in the Northumberland hills; the choice of materials and quality of construction means they are tough and comfortable enough for all-day wear.

Equally at home in the city or on the trail, RoToTo socks will keep your feet looking and feeling good and will quickly become the socks you always reach for.

Care

We’ve worn these socks for years and they hold up incredibly well. They’re easy to look after.

Please note that the fabric used in this sock may be damaged if worn with hard leather shoes so we’d recommend wearing them with boots and trainers.

We also recommend turning them inside out for washing. As ever, avoid excessive heat in the tumble dryer.
