TSPTR USMC P-44 Jacket – Powder/Indigo

£113.00

The TSPTR USMC P-44 Jacket is the brand’s recreation of the iconic US Marine Corps jacket issued towards the end of the Second World War. The P-44, as its name suggests, was issued fro 1944 and was mainly worn in the Pacific theatre. Made from an 8.2oz herringbone twill, or HBT was initially meant to be worn over the standard-issue uniform for protection against general wear whilst doing fatigue duties, but it was quickly adopted as the uniform of choice in hotter climates due to its lightweight and durable fabric. TSPTR’s interpretation takes the pattern of the original and modifies it for modern everyday wear. It is given a fresh twist an indigo colour with contrasting powder blue pockets and reinforced elbow patched. It’s finished with metal donut buttons. As with all TSPTR pieces, it is ethically made in Portugal.

  • A contemporary remake of the USMC P-44 Shirt/Jacket
  • Indigo cotton herringbone twill
  • Contrasting pockets and shoulder pads
  • Metal donut buttons

Brand

TSPTR takes its inspiration from American counterculture, with clothing designed to have a story and meaning. Their name is an acronym standing for Truth, Symmetry, Pleasure, Taste and Recognition, the five design principles of Louis Sullivan, American modernist architect, and designer.

Taking cues from vintage fashion and classic workwear, TSPTR ensures that everything they produce is on par with the vintage objects they are influenced by. The brand is known for its new twists on classic military and workwear pieces, adding new details and inspiration to these iconic styles.

We’re always on the hunt for clothing with a story behind it and each TSPTR product is steeped in Americana and counterculture influences. On top of that, an ongoing collaboration with Peanuts sees the brand release t-shirts and baseball tees each season with classic strips featuring Snoopy and Charlie Brown.

TSPTR is made ethically in Portugal.
