The Rite Stuff Slub Yarn Tee is inspired by 1930s civilian and military t-shirts and comes in a lightweight slub yarn fabric milled in Wakayama, Japan, a mecca for knitted fabrics. Regular fitting with a slightly longer body than previous tees from The Rite Stuff. It’s inspired by vintage examples of civilian t-shirts from the 1930s and those issued to the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). It is incredibly soft, breezy and feels great against your skin. We expect to see these being worn as layering pieces during the colder months and on their own with denim in the summer. The Rite Stuff creates new takes on pre-World War II American workwear, with exceptional attention to detail and focus on quality and ethical production. Whereas most heritage clothing brands focus on the post-war years, The Rite Stuff owner, Bryan Shettig, takes his inspiration from the clothing worn by workers in the early part of the twentieth century.
Influenced by classic pieces of the time and an extensive vintage archive, the brand puts its passion for the history of heritage clothing into each piece they make. The result is tough, functional but incredibly beautiful clothing that is full of period-correct details and that looks just as good today as it would have a century ago.

Production is overseen in the finest Japanese facilities by John Lofgren & Co., resulting in heritage workwear of unsurpassed authenticity and quality.
The Rite Stuff t-shirts have been washed once so expect no further shrinkage. Wash when needed on a 30 degree or cold wash. Hang dry. As with any clothes you care about, do not tumble dry.
