Seuvas Tassa Shirt – Natural

£155.00

The Seuvas Tassa Shirt is made from the lightest canvas that the brand produce. This makes it an extremely flexible piece that looks fantastic layered or worn with a pair of blue jeans. The lighter weight canvas used in the Tassa Shirt is made at their 130 year old textile factory in Kurashiki City, Japan and used in its natural undyed form, with a smoother feel than the heavier canvasses the brand produce. The shirt is cut in a work shirt style, with a single front pocket and the placket is cut from a single piece of canvas, giving a clean look and plenty of range of movement. It is finished with a single hand-made, custom-designed porcelain button made from clay mined in Amakusa City, Kimamoto. This historic stone has been used in Japanese pottery since the 17th century.

Brand

Seuvas is a new brand that is dedicated to working with canvas and producing classic workwear-inspired pieces that they call “free-spirited clothes”. Each piece is cut and sewn in Kurashiki, Japan, a city that accounts for 70% of Japan’s canvas production, using vintage sewing machines. The canvas they use is made by Takeyari, a manufacturer that was established in 1888 and has been making canvas for over 130 years. For that extra special detail, many Seuvas pieces are finished with a porcelain button made from clay ore in Amakusa City, Kimamoto Prefecture. With their combination of tough canvas and careful sewing, each Seuvas piece is designed to be a canvas for its wearer and develop an individual character all of its own. Those That Know are proud to be the first European stockist of this exciting new brand.
