The Papa Nui x AWMS Directors Cap started as a reference lifted from a lesser-seen moment on set. During the 1966 filming of After the Fox, Peter Sellers was photographed wearing a soft pink cap, set against a palette that captures the warmth and ease of the Mediterranean.

The Directors Cap takes that image as its starting point. Produced in Japan by John Lofgren & Co, the cap is made from fine cotton poplin using period-correct construction methods. Lightweight, structured, and true to vintage form.

Each piece is supplied with a hand-machined novelty Papa Nui x AWMS Pink Panther “On the Prowl” patch, created exclusively for this release.
