Papa Nui Tail End Charlie Cap

The Papa Nui Cap Co. Research division presents to you a new project; the Tail End Charlie Cap. A long fascination with the ubiquitous A-3 Mechanics Cap has led to this unique offering, an essential addition to your flight kit. Following the premise that gun turrets are tightly cramped spaces, the Papa has created an HBT cap that is better suited for issue to ball turret and tail gunners. Enter the Tail End Charlie, a superior Nippon made herringbone twill cap that captures all the history and romance of the A-3 but offers up a re-designated visor shape that provides less obstacle and more freedom of movement in a tight environment. This cap is built solid and is not General Issue!

Brand

Papa Nui Cap Co. is the creation of John Tesoriero and draws on decades of experience in the heritage clothing industry, along with an enviable collection of vintage clothing and militaria.

The brand creates caps with vintage military, utility and surf influences, inspired by the resourcefulness of GIs and their ability to reimagine and repurpose their kit to suit their environment. Much more than simply a reproduction brand, each Papa Nui cap has a story behind it.

The finest military-spec materials are sourced from Japan and each cap is battle-tested under the rays of the South Pacific sun. Manufacturing is left to the capable hands of John Lofgren & Co., who ensure the finished products are made to the highest standards of quality and ethics, resulting in a cap that will last a lifetime and only look better with age.

Papa Nui Cap Co. was our first brand at Those That Know and we stock every release, including many pieces that are not available anywhere else. As John himself says, “anything else is just a cap”.

Care

Where necessary, we recommend machine washing your Superfort Cap on a cold cycle and line drying.

If you’re happy with the sizing of your Superfort Cap, avoid tumble drying as this may result in slight shrinkage.
