One Ear Brand Hin Rose Bandanna – Poinciana

The design of the One Ear Brand Hin Rose Bandanna draws inspiration from bandannas produced between the early 1910s and late 1920s. A period which the brand sees as the rise of the “urban floral” bandanna. During this time, designs moved away from the highly ornate plains-style patterns, reflecting a broader shift in taste from Eurocentric influences toward a more distinctly American visual language.

The central motif is intentionally simple, but the three-to-one balance of black and white gives it a quiet sense of movement and character. Rather than using traditional bandanna border motifs, the outer edge features tattoo-style roses, with strong line work and dotted gradations adding subtle, playful detail.

The result is a considered balance of old and new, combining early 20th-century structure with a more modern graphic sensibility.
