About the Loop & Weft Latch Pile Full Zip Jacket
The Loop & Weft Latch Pile Full Zip Jacket is constructed from a proprietary fabric developed by the brand for the SS21 season. Typically of Loop & Weft’s attention to detail and pursuit of perfection, the fabric has to be woven on machines that have been modified with a customised latch mechanism. The result is a high-density fabric with an incredible handle, that manages to be substantial yet super-soft. This is really a piece that can only be fully appreciated when you have your hands on it.
The cut of the jacket takes its influences from the US Army Air Force C-2 Wool Zipper Cardigan that was worn by pilots during the 1940s, often underneath their A-2 leather jackets. The Army Olive colour is reminiscent of that of an original vintage piece. It’s finished with double waist pockets and a Waldes zipper.

Loop & Weft was founded in 2011 by Ryota Seguchi, who had spent the previous decade working in the denim industry for one of Japan’s leading denim manufacturers. Ryota’s goal was to produce honestly-crafted pieces made from the best materials to the very highest standards.
The brand is based in Yamanashi Prefecture, a location in the shadow of Mount Fuji that is known for its natural beauty and for being an inspiring artistic setting for creative people. The area also has a historically significant garment manufacturing industry that is particularly known for cut-and-sewn cotton clothing. Loop & Weft aim to continue these strong traditions and contribute to the history of the area by creating beautiful, life-long lasting pieces that will fast become the prized possessions of their owners.
The garment has been washed so expect no further shrinkage. When necessary, wash by hand or on a gentle 30 degree cycle.
