H.E.S. Summer Shapers – Barbour Jacket Cloth

H.E.S. Shapers are made in the North East of England and are loose-fitting everyday trousers with a quiet nod to the craft and ease of surfboard shaping. Relaxed through the leg and simple in finish, they are built for daily wear without feeling overworked.

The cloth is a 100% cotton light-to-medium weight fabric originally destined for Barbour jackets before the waxing process. Left unwaxed, it has a dry, natural handle with small flecks and irregularities through the weave, giving the trousers a more interesting surface than standard plain cotton. This is most prominent in the off-white version where the random flecks of colour give the cloth real character.

The result is an easy, practical trouser with a cleaner, lighter feel and enough texture to set it apart. Versatile, comfortable and suitable for almost any situation, you’ll never be short of an excuse to reach for these.

For more information on shipping, we have a dedicated shipping page. We use Royal Mail for most orders but occasionally UPS, FedEx and DHL for higher value international orders. Shipping starts at £6 in the UK and £15 international and increases based on location and, for larger orders, weight.

Please be aware that we’re a two person operation so there may be a day or two between ordering and shipping. If you need something urgently, please contact us and we’ll probably be able to sort it.

We offer an easy returns process which is explained in detail on our returns page. All we ask is that returned items arrive back with us in as-new condition including labels and packaging. Unless we’ve made a mistake, we can’t refund or exchange socks, magazines or books.
