The Papa Nui Correspondents Hat is a collaboration between the Papa and Tony Sylvester. Using the conceptual premise that visiting Congressmen, government officials, and newspaper correspondents to the Vietnam capital of Saigon wanted to blend their civilian occupations with in-country style, the hat is a wonderful ‘what if’, where non-combatants meet martial styling at the hands of Mama-san’s workshop.
The Correspondents hat comes in an all-cotton Japanese milled olive HBT. It features a red and blue ribbon band, a detail synonymous with the bucket hat styling and reminiscent of the colours of Grenadier Coldstream, Scotch, Irish and Welsh regiments.

Papa Nui size guide
With some exceptions, Papa Nui caps come in sizes Medium (57-58cm), Large (59-60cm) and X Large (60-62cm). To find out more about how to measure your head to get the sizing of your cap perfect, see this detailed article about Papa Nui sizing.
Watch caps and other special models come in one size. Because of the materials used, these will work for you if either Medium and Large size Papa Nui caps fit you comfortably.

For more information on shipping, we have a dedicated shipping page. We use Royal Mail for most orders but occasionally UPS, FedEx and DHL for higher value international orders. Shipping starts at £6 in the UK and £15 international and increases based on location and, for larger orders, weight.
Please be aware that we’re a two person operation so there may be a day or two between ordering and shipping. If you need something urgently, please contact us and we’ll probably be able to sort it.
We offer an easy returns process which is explained in detail on our returns page. All we ask is that returned items arrive back with us in as-new condition including labels and packaging. Unless we’ve made a mistake, we can’t refund or exchange socks, magazines or books.
