The Papa Nui A-3 1940 Special Edition is based on an experimental release that bridges the gap between the late 1930’s flat cap style of the A-2 and the ubiquitous WWII mechanics cap we all know and love. The 1940 contract cap has been painstakingly recreated here in a limited edition piece that’s fully crafted in Japan in the best production facilities available. It’s unique lace front draws inspiration from American outdoor wear and is an early attempt at production proficiency for multiple sizing and custom fitting whilst it’s fabrication is a direct nod to the herringbone twill dominance that replaced indigo denim at around this same period.

Watch caps and other special models come in one size. Because of the materials used, these will work for you if either Medium and Large size Papa Nui caps fit you comfortably.

For more information on shipping, we have a dedicated shipping page. We use Royal Mail for most orders but occasionally UPS, FedEx and DHL for higher value international orders. Shipping starts at £6 in the UK and £15 international and increases based on location and, for larger orders, weight.
