The On Ear Brand Shirohebi Bandanna draws on Japanese mythology and classic fashion iconography. Shirohebi translates to “white snake”, a symbol long associated in Japan with good fortune, prosperity, and the kami Benzaiten. Snakes have also been a recurring and enduring motif in fashion, valued as much for their visual power as their symbolism.
Taking light influence from a vintage designer scarf while remaining wholly original, this design builds on the visual language of One Ear Brand’s earlier tiger bandanna. With 2025 being the Year of the Snake, Shirohebi feels like a natural continuation — a “lucky” bandanna intended to mark a year of wellbeing, optimism, and renewal.
