Based on the style of scalloped yoke chambray work shirts that first appeared in 1912 in Chicago and soon spread to workers across America who desired a smart, durable, and versatile work shirt, the Heracles sits at the top of the heap. The Heracles features scalloped shoulder yokes and a deep, scalloped back yoke for extra durability. And as always, the Heracles shirt is made in Japan with John Lofgren & Co. to John’s exacting level of quality and fair treatment of workers at every step of the way.
The Heracles is a regular fit and we recommend taking your normal size in most situations. To get the perfect fit, refer to the chart below and compare the measurements with a shirt you own. For customers who bought the original Heracles Shirt, the new model comes in around a full size smaller, making it a more true-to-size fit.

Whereas most heritage clothing brands focus on the post-war years, The Rite Stuff owner, Bryan Shettig, takes his inspiration from the clothing worn by workers in the early part of the twentieth century.
Influenced by classic pieces of the time and an extensive vintage archive, the brand puts its passion for the history of heritage clothing into each piece they make. The result is tough, functional but incredibly beautiful clothing that is full of period-correct details and that looks just as good today as it would have a century ago.

The Rite Stuff Heracles Shirt is tough and durable so doesn’t need any specific care. It has been washed once so expect very little or no further shrinkage. Wash when needed on 30 degrees.
