The story of the Papa Nui Invader Cap
Like all Papa’s caps, the Papa Nui Invader Cap has a story behind it, but in this case a very personal tale. It’s inspired by John Tesoriero’s father’s real life experience during the struggle for New Guinea during WWII. Caught by a Japanese shore battery, his convoy was saved by the arrival of a B-25 from the 418th NFS. This is John’s tribute cap.
It comes in a rugged starchy black herringbone twill with a proud call out to the 418 in hand cut satin stitched numbers. The fabric is truly beautiful and full of character, whilst the skilfully stitched contrasting numbers. The result is an aviators cap of exceptional quality that will last a lifetime and that has a personality all of its own.
The Invader Cap is made ethically in Japan by John Lofgren & Co.
