The story of the Papa Nui Airboss III Cap
The Papa Nui Airboss III Cap is, as its name suggest, the third iteration of one of the most popular Papa Nui models. This all new version is constructed from Navy Jungle Cloth with a pure wool liner that harks back to the long-sold out Bird Farm Cap from a couple of years back. The perfect cap to pair with your N1 Deck, The Airboss III will keep your head warm no matter how bad conditions get during the winter months
Jungle Cloth, also known as Whipcord, is perhaps best known for its use in US Navy Deck Jackets. The earliest versions of these jackets, and in our opinion the best, were navy blue, before being replaced by the more common khaki version. The tight, dense weave of Jungle Cloth give it exceptional resistance to water and wind and kept many a sailor warm on deck during foul conditions.

Coming from the South Pacific and taking cues from vintage military, utility and surf styles, Papa Nui Cap Co. is the creation of John Tesoriero. Drawing on decades of experience and an enviable collection of vintage clothing and militaria, each cap has a story all of its own. Every cap in the collection is designed and tested on the Atoll before being manufactured in Japan by John Lofgren & Co to the very highest quality. Designed to be rugged, handsome and to last a lifetime, every cap will age beautifully, reflecting the life of its wearer. As John himself says, “anything else is just a cap“.
Papa Nui caps are low-maintenance pieces designed for rugged wear. Because of the wool liner, we recommend avoiding soaking or machine washing this cap.
Sizes Medium (57-58cm) and Large (59-60cm).
