Military Clothing

In the years following the end of World War II, when occupying allied forces began to leave Japan, much of the military clothing was left behind. The rugged, hard-wearing nature of this clothing meant that it was adopted by the Japanese civilians with used pieces finding their way into the second hand market. In later years, Japanese brands began taking these original designs and recreating them using the skills and expertise of local workers. The resulting products, from jeans to jackets, were unrivalled in quality and subsequently became renowned throughout the world.
