Our collection of t-shirts take their influences from the styles and fits worn as part of the military and workwear uniforms of the early to mid twentieth century. Starting life as an undershirt issued to naval personnel, the t-shirt became popular in the post-war years when those returning from military service would wear them as an outer layer. Since then popularity of the t-shirt has grown but the quality, because of mass production and fast fashion, has decreased. The pieces we sell are made the old, slow way on vintage knitting machines. The result is a t-shirt that is comfortable, rugged and that will maintain its shape wear after wear.
